AES stands for 'Association for Exchange Students'. We are a student organization operating in Hasselt and Diepenbeek, reaching over 15 000 students. The aim is to integrate foreign students into the local student culture. Throughout the year we organize activities for our foreign guests and Belgian members. These activities include pub crawls, trips, weekends, an International Week, parties, sports, cantuses and so on. The purpose of our efforts is to get exchange students to meet other exchange students as well as local students to make their year in Diepenbeek and Hasselt (for the less fortunate: their semester) one they will never forget! AES also attracts Belgian students who are interested in other cultures, meeting foreign students or just experiencing something totally new! Since 2007, AES is also represented on Facebook and since 2008 on Linked In.
